Period/Date:  Early 20th century

Materials:  Wood, red ocher and charcoal pigments

Dimensions:  Height 27.5" (70 cm),  Width 5.5"  (14 cm) 

Description:  This classic "wunda" shield features bold bands of red ocher and charcoal pigments.   Its face and back side have deeply "fluted" grooves.   Dry mellow patination.  It is presented on a custom metal display stand.
