Description:  Here's a classic shield of early vintage.  The decoration on these shields conveyed the warriors age, geographic area, lineage, military affinities and bravery.   What makes it special is that it retains an old original tuft of Leopard fur in addition to some black hair which we believe to be Monkey.  The warrior displayed this trophy to demonstrate his bravery and hunting prowess.   Often times the vertical wooden struts on the back side are cracked and broken, but not on this one, the struts and handle are solid.
