Description: This ancient "yipwon" figure has an eroded and almost fossilized surface. Its face is deeply carved making it distinctly haunting and powerful when lit from overhead. Its broadly pierced nose is no longer connected to its septum. This subtle space gives it avian/ zoomorphic qualities. Some various areas of loss as the photos show. An especially soulful piece when seen and handled in person. Presented on a metal display stand.
