PAIR OF ESKIMO DOLLS W/ SHELL BUTTON LEGGINGS

Materials: Seal skin, fiber, animal fur, felt, yarn, old pearl shell trade buttons

Description:  This pair of attractive dolls are impressively made and very detailed.  They are remarkable not only for their superb condition, but also for the wide range of materials used!  Their leggings with applied shell buttons are a very unique feature.  They are much older and likely date to the late 19th century.  Its possible these leggings were salvaged from a older dolls before they were discarded?   Each is presented on a metal doll stand.
