FINE HOOKED BOOMERANG W/ DECORATED DOT MOTIFS

Origin:  Australia, Central Desert, possibly Northern territory    

Period/Date: Likely first quarter of the 20th century

Materials:  Mulga wood

Description:  This stunning "hooked" or "number 7" boomerang is presented on a custom wood display stand.  It is decorated on both sides of the head and neck with pokerwork dotting in meandering totemic patterns.  In very good condition.  It has a lustrous surface especially around its handle from contact and use.
