SUPERB 19TH CENTURY VICTORIAN SHIELD
Origin: Description: This museum quality leaf shape shield dates to the late 19th century and is one of the best examples of its type. The traditional incised chevron decoration is of multi-legged animals (likely stylized Iguanas) and is accented with red ochre paint. Outstanding dark varied patina acquired from age and traditional use.
